Refined coconut oil is produced by pressing dried coconut meat, known as copra, and then undergoing a refining process before it is suitable for human consumption. This process removes much of the natural coconut flavor along with some of its micronutrients. Because copra is a more economical raw material, refined coconut oil is generally more affordable than virgin coconut oil.
Coconut oil is naturally rich in saturated fatty acids, particularly lauric acid (around 50%) and myristic acid (about 20%). These fatty acids belong to a group called medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are shorter than the saturated fats typically found in vegetable oils and animal fats, such as palmitic and stearic acid. Thanks to these MCTs, coconut oil offers a more favorable health profile than its high saturated fat content might initially suggest.

Pro-probiotics – 30 vegi-caps
R282.00Add to cartStress, prescription drugs, alcohol, a high-fat diet, too much red meat and too little dietary fibre can allow bad bacteria to overgrow and take over the gut. This can lead to digestive problems like infections, lactose intolerance, diarrhoea, irritable bowel syndrome, Candida and reduced absorption of nutrients. Unless you put more good guys in.
Here’s what good-guy bacteria can do…
- IMPROVE FUNCTIONING OF THE DIGESTIVE TRACT. Good bacteria in the gut help to normalize the microbial balance in the intestines.
- RESTORE HEALTHY FLORA. Antibiotics kill bacteria, but don’t know how to tell the good from the bad. This means they destroy good gut flora as well and this can upset the system and your stomach. Replacing the beneficial bacteria by taking a probiotic can help restore a healthy flora balance.
- STRENGTHENS THE GUT BARRIER.  A dysfunctional gut barrier function is associated with digestive difficulties such as leaky gut syndrome and lactose intolerance.IN A NUTSHELL
PRO-Probiotic helps protect against invading organisms and helps strengthen our gut barrier.
