Protein Shake 650g
R220.00Add to cartPROTEIN is required for biological life. It forms the basis of the molecular structures and the molecular ‘machinery’ which comprise the tissues and drives growth, repair, maintenance, energy, defences, communications etc. Of course, everyone knows that muscle tissue is the largest reservoir of protein, but also hair, skin, nails, organs such as liver, kidneys and the bones also are largely made up of protein. Extra protein can help to maintain lean body mass whilst fat mass is reduced. Thus, a healthy protein intake is an important part of any weight reduction program. This is especially important in conjunction with a muscle strength conditioning exercise program. Under disease conditions or stress, protein needs often sky-rocket, and again supplemental protein is strategically important. Protein intake should be from 1 gram of protein per kilo (of healthy) body weight per day upwards, but under stress or disease conditions could increase dramatically from two to fourfold.
SERVING SUGGESTION: 3 x level tablespoons of protein shake.
DIRECTIONS: Blend and mix into a glass of milk (or water) and enjoy. For best results take after strength building exercise. For increased muscle uptake and response to training, consume protein.
INGREDIENTS: soya protein, malt extract, cocoa, vanilla, sodium chloride, potassium citrate, stevia extract, non-nutritive sweetener: Acesulfame K, Sucralose.
